'My work is very fluid, it is not situated in a particular genre of painting. It begins with a consideration of place, and then continues on a journey. I am learning to accept that journey, allowing the paint to take me in unspecified directions. Sometimes it creates a question and at times it solves a problem.
The paint is of itself, the chance dripping, revelling in the transformative quality of the material. I also find myself sitting with the works, going back to them. Communicating with the piece, finding coherence, a notion of spending time and living, allowing me to see the work a fresh.
