Isobel Rayson is an emerging visual artist based in rural New South Wales. Isobel graduated from the Australian National University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (First Class Honours) in Sculpture. Isobel has exhibited widely across Australia in a number of group and solo exhibitions and is represented by .M Contemporary Gallery in Sydney, NSW and Boom Gallery in Geelong, VIC.
Isobel Rayson continues to explore her interests in time-based processes and material investigation. Influenced by her quiet studio environment in rural New South Wales, the artist presents a series of works documenting her place and sense of belonging. The artist writes, “I am often preoccupied with thoughts of passing time; where I stand in my immediate environment and how I might capture this temporality as a record of my presence in the world.”
