Collection: Stefan Gevers | Quiet Compositions

'Quiet compositions is about removing evidence of our current life and trying to see the land as it was, learning to understand the landscape to protect it.'

The iconic character of rural areas contributes to outlining the personality of the landscapes and the symbolic characteristics of these places.  Between the act of representation and of familiarising oneself with the place, showing the main form and features of the land, in a way that helps people to understand it.

In human geography it is the material formation of the landscape, its shaping and reshaping, in which social structures and cultural worlds are enfolded. To comprehend the landscape sometimes you need to see the organic quality of the land. Every landscape has individuality as well as relation to other landscapes and the same is true for the forms that make it up.
