Hopes have flown before, watercolour and graphite, 20.5 x 13 cm.

The beautiful sculptural forms of these agapanthus pods are so very pleasing in their appearance. Elegant in full bloom and retaining their elegance as they age, the pods have divested themselves of their seeds – scattering their hopes for a new generation in the season yet to come. Not all plants are as lucky.
