Long I stood there wondering, watercolour and graphite, 19 x 14.5 cm.

Hovering over the beautiful rose, the butterfly was totally focused on the need to obtain sustenance. I was the one watching the delicate dance between the two, as they communicated in their respective ways – each wanting, each giving. This interaction represents a most successful relationship that has gone on for millennia. Will humankind allow this delicate dance to continue?
