Congratulations Tim Snowdon! For the second year running, Tim has been announced a semi-finalist in the Moran Prize. In 2021 Tim was a finalist with his portrait titled 'Dave'.
The sitter in Tim's current entry is 12-year-old Cara. Painted in oil on linen, the portrait is 61cm x 46cm. Cara was required to sit over six sessions which were around 2 hours each.
'Established in 1988 the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize encourages 'both excellence and creativity in contemporary Australian portraiture by asking artists to interpret the look and personality of a chosen sitter, either unknown or well known.'
