The gnarled bark on trees provide food, clothing and shelter not only for the tree but for the myriad of insects and birds that live in the area.  In the same way, grass also supports the local ecosystem.  Both spiral up toward the sun – one writ elegant and slender, the other in cursive patterns riding up the bark.
