Having grown up in the Dja Dja Wurrung lands of Central Victoria and now having moved to Gundungurra Country in the Blue Mountains, Astro has always been inspired by the unique grandeur of the Australian landscape. He is interested in painting as a means to explore the limits of our visual perception and is dedicated to working from direct observation of nature. His hope is that with enough time and reverence given to this process, something of the beauty of this landscape might be captured in his work.
