At the end of the season, there are always a few brave little butterflies hovering round the last few flowering plants, seeking nectar and sustenance before the cold weather sets in.  The rose stems remain as elegant as ever in their new form, but they are now unable to accommodate the needs of their late visitor.  * Note:  The spelling of “visiter” is correct, taken as is from the poem “The Raven” by Edgar Allen Poe.
