The thirsty paddocks never leave us for long. The dried grass and shards of bone from native and introduced animals litter the grasses across the countryside. Animals and vegetation respond quickly when the rains come and the times are good. Often, however, there will be a price to pay a little further along in time.
The title for this work comes from the poem “My Country" by well known Australian poet, Dorothea Mackellar.
