What dances shall we have, watercolour, graphite and gouache, 15cm x 15cm (image),2022. Framed size: 33.5cm x 33.5cm, black mat and black frame.

These words were spoken by Theseus from Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The cockatoos come in to feed on the pine cones, stripping back the scales on the cone seeking the nutritious seeds. Many cones and scales fall to the ground, releasing their seeds in a merry dance and perhaps a new generation. SF
